Emotional Weakness shows up with how we deal with the challenges of life. It has little to do with how we express our emotion during a trail but how we respond to it in the long run.

All of us deal with some form of Emotional Weakness so don’t be surprised if you see yourself in some of the list. If you’re honest and working on becoming Emotionally Strong then you will realize everyone will find themselves on the list!

  1. Complaining – our way of deferring payment on a problem. Complain about it instead of deal with it. The more we complain the more interest we have to pay on the problem!
  2. Comfort – Always looking for the easy, safe way of dealing with life. Insecurity and Fear keep us in our comfort zones.
  3. Not Teachable – We will make excuses as to why we are where we are. No amount of advice can help a person in this state.
  4. No Staying Power – Quitting becomes a lifestyle! We will choose to Flee instead of Fight.
  5. Easily Offended – Our Culture has been changing so drastically that many people now wake up looking for a reason to be offended! Offense is a trap – Don’t take the BAIT.
  6. Drama Kings & Queens – We decide to throw ourselves a Pity Party instead of facing the problem.
  7. Not Grateful – Our focus is on what we don’t have and that leads to frustration and bitterness. Be Grateful for what you DO HAVE.
  8. Comparing – We are addicted to comparing ourselves to others and that ONLY leads us to UNHAPPYVILLE!
  9. Squirrel – Forget delayed gratification we want it now and we want it EASY. Our focus is constantly shifting to the new shiny object…Squirrel!
  10. Mountain Views – Giving guided tours of our Mountains (Challenges) instead of focusing on the Solutions. Want to become Emotionally Strong? Then STOP giving Control of your life away to other people or to life’s Challenges. You do this by Accepting responsibility for the areas you find yourself in above and taking Action!
