Under Construction

Being a home owner means you will forever be under construction! There is always something that needs to be done whether it’s inside or outside.

The first home we bought, we owned it for 15 years, and in that time we put at least $150,000 into it. There is always something that needs to be done if you want to, as a minimum, maintain the value and hopefully increase its value.

The ownership of your life is a lot like the ownership of a home. You will ALWAYS be Under Construction!

There will never come a time in your life when you have arrived. You will always be improving, renewing, tearing up the old, replacing, upgrading and pruning!

Like a home owner, you have to work on two areas: the inside and the outside. They both need attention all the time.

The problem is we treat our lives like most renters treat the rental property. It’s not theirs so why bother. They did not have to save for years to make a down payment or scratch and claw each month to pay the mortgage note.

Renters don’t lose sleep over scratching the new paint, breaking a window, jumping on the furniture or parking the car on the front yard.  They don’t care if the property value drops, what the neighbors think or the type of element that is attracted to that mentality.

Your life needs your daily attention. It needs upgrades, energy saving appliances, room additions, new paint, weeds pulled, and the windows cleaned.

You are always Under Construction. Every day we should do a little something to improve ourselves.

If you treat your life like you are renting it, then you will attract the wrong people and poor opportunities. You will miss out on promotions and your relationships, health, and attitude will suffer.

A smart investor is always trying to increase the value and worth of his investments. You are your greatest investment so treat your life like you own it!

Start your life improvement today…Always be under Construction.
