When we bought our first home, we had to go through the qualification process. The banker and real estate agent made us “Count the Cost”. It was not easy, and many times we were told we did not qualify for one reason or another.

Volunteer for the Scary Things

My recruiter told me over and over never to volunteer when I joined the Military. That theme was a constant one throughout my 8 years in the Air Force. It didn’t work! I was “Volunteered” anyway on my first day in Boot Camp by our Drill Instructor!

I hated being volunteered, and I hated the job I was volunteered for that I had to preform every moment of every day for 8 weeks!

Turns out it was the best thing that could have happened to me!
